Before getting married in a foreign country, you need to meet a number of administrative requirements, such as obtaining an electronic visa. Many countries offer the possibility of obtaining this official document online, including Côte d'Ivoire.
e-Visa in Côte d'Ivoire since 2017
Following the example of other African countries such as Tanzania, Kenya, Egypt, South Africa and Benin, the government has adopted the e-visa. This electronic visa will make it easier to apply for a visa, particularly for travellers wishing to visit the country. Travellers can apply for a visa entirely online via SNEDAI, a government-approved site for visa applications.
The e-Visa is received on average 72 hours after the application. Once you have obtained this "pre-registration" document, you are free to travel anywhere in Côte d'Ivoire. The final validation of the Côte d'Ivoire e-Visa takes place on arrival in the country, when the traveller's biometric data is taken at the "Airport Visa" section.
