✋ Can I get an e-Visa on arrival in Abidjan?

🤔 What is pre-registration for Côte d'Ivoire?

Pre-registration is a document with a bar code that you present to immigration officials on arrival at Abidjan airport. This document will enable you to obtain your visa. This document is compulsory before boarding your flight to Côte d'Ivoire.

⏱️ How far in advance of my departure should I apply for my e-Visa?

We recommend that you apply for a visa online at least 7 days before your departure for Côte d'Ivoire. In fact, some files are sent for advanced analysis, sometimes extending the lead times.

🔄 How long is the e-Visa valid for?

A Côte d'Ivoire e-Visa allows you to stay in the country for up to 90 days. For longer stays, you should apply for a traditional visa in your passport. You can apply for this e-Visa 3 times in a calendar year.

Please note that the 90 days are counted from the date emission of the e-Visa, not at the time of entry into the country, as may be the case for the e-Visa.Cape Verde Visa.

Yes, minors must also have a visa. You can group their applications on the same form. The fees and documents required are the same as for an adult.

If a minor leaves French territory without a legal guardian, he or she must be in possession of an identity card. AST (authorization to leave the country). This document can be requested online, and must be completed by one of the holders of parental authority. When travelling, this form must be accompanied by a copy of the legal guardian's identity document.

⏳ Is there a time limit between two Côte d'Ivoire e-Visa applications?

There is no time limit between two trips to Côte d'Ivoire. The frequency and duration of your stays must not give the impression that you are trying to circumvent the rules and establish yourself indirectly and permanently in the country. This notion is at the discretion of the Côte d'Ivoire immigration authorities. It is also forbidden to work in Côte d'Ivoire with this electronic visa.

📄 What documents do I need to apply for an Ivorian visa?

For an Ivorian visa, you will need the copy of your passport valid for six months after your date of arrival in Côte d'Ivoireyour registered plane tickets as well as a hotel reservation by name with the dates of your stay or a legalised letter of invitation with a copy of the identity document of the person inviting to Côte d'Ivoire.

For business trips, you will need to provide a letter of invitation from the company (authenticated by a local town hall and stating the company's telephone number and address in Côte d'Ivoire).

🎫 What is the difference between an e-Visa and a biometric Visa?

e-Visa is an online pre-registration procedure. Once you arrive at Abidjan airport, and on the basis of the e-Visa information, a biometric visa will be issued in your passport by taking your fingerprints and a photo of you.

😲 I made a mistake in my application, what should I do?

Once an e-Visa has been issued, its details cannot be changed. You will need to submit a new application if your information differs significantly.
